FSSC 22000

The GFSI-recognised food safety system certification built on ISO 22000 — now at Version 6. RTNTS helps you design, implement and certify a robust FSMS.

The standard

What is FSSC 22000?

FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) is a complete, GFSI-recognised certification scheme that combines the international management-system standard ISO 22000 with sector-specific prerequisite programmes and a set of additional requirements.

The current Version 6 was published in 2023, with audits from April 2024. It strengthens the scheme with additional requirements covering areas such as food loss and waste, equipment management and food safety culture. FSSC 22000 suits organisations of any size across the food chain — from manufacturing and ingredients to packaging, storage, transport and catering.
